Yes. CR MAX BT includes lifetime free Wi-Fi software upgrades. No annual subscription required.
The main difference is the connection type. The CR MAX connects to the OBD port directly via cable, while the CR MAX BT includes a wireless Bluetooth VCI dongle — so you can hold the tablet at the engine bay or rear of the vehicle without being tethered by a cable.
Not necessarily. Send your VIN to our support team and we’ll confirm AutoVIN compatibility within 24 hours. In the meantime, you can manually select your vehicle model — all diagnostic functions will still work normally. We’ll add your VIN to our database in the next update.
Please keep ignition on and engine off. Record freeze frame data first before clearing codes.
Persistent hardware faults need physical repair prior to code clearance.
Some fault codes of systems like SRS and ABS can only be cleared after finishing bi-directional tests.
